Ruth Francis

Bar Staff

Ruth is a valued member of our Bar Staff, who serves customers and restocks shelves. She readily offers her time in assisting audience members if they have any problems and helps the bar team work most efficiently with each other.

Ruth has always loved going to the theatre; whether it be watching Shakespeare, Mama Mia or Phantom of the Opera. She enjoyed taking part in plays and musicals in her schools and in local drama groups, notably Tallulah in Bugsy Malone and Puss in Puss in Boots, before swapping acting for stage managing in two successive plays at her secondary school. Ruth loved being stage manager and having the responsibility of being in charge of the cast and crew of a 60 piece ensemble at only 13! The experience taught her about another area of theatre, what the organisation and management takes, and more importantly gave her much appreciation for backstage work.

Ruth is currently studying her A Levels here at Cirencester College. She is looking forward to studying Psychology at Reading University in September, but is eager to carry on being a part of a theatre while there, whether being a member of an amateur dramatic society or getting a job in a theatre there.

Ruth finds the whole theatre team super friendly and easy to talk to, she perceives the theatre to be a really comfortable place to work in. Ruth loves working at the Sundial Theatre continuing her love of theatre, getting to meet bands and performers, despite only being a member of the bar staff. She looks forward to all the exciting acts this year!
